“I am Nancy Norris, an artist raised in the USA. For the past 16 years I have resided full time in beautiful Huatulco, Mexico.
From an early age, art was woven into the fabric of my life. Whether viewing it, reading about it, or making it, art in some form has had a very meaningful impact on me. I have painted in various mediums from watercolor, to oil, and acrylic. I was very fortunate to experience instruction from Bill Zaner a Southwest artist from Austin, Texas. We painted realist landscapes, many of which were plein air in Texas. Today I find my inspiration from a myriad of sources….aboriginal art, pointillist, many contemporary artists from the mid 20th century. Also, I am blessed to live in a paradise overlooking the Pacific Ocean surrounded by nature’s bounty which undoubtedly influences my art.”

Over the years I have found my happy place using acrylic paint making large modern abstract canvases and small wooden ornamental boxes and platters. I spend several hours a day 4 or 5 days a week with a paint brush in my hand. Although I am extremely proud and happy to sell my art, producing art as an income source has never been my main reason for painting. I paint for the absolute joy it gives me, and if I’m lucky, the joy it brings to others. to view my past commissions as inspirationfor your special piece, please see my gallery below.
